Deputies Nab Escapee from Castaic Prison

Inmate flees from early-morning laundry duties, but was captured less than an hour later.

Adrian Bojorquez, 19, was assigned to the laundry facility at Pitchess Detention Center when at about 6:55 a.m. he walked away from his assigned work.  See the details in Friday's Signal.

Antonovich Calls For Off-Peak Delivery Policy For County Facilities

Los Angeles – To reduce congestion, air pollution and cancer-causing emissions, Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich has introduced a motion to develop an off-peak delivery incentive policy for all County facilities.

 Doctor Robert Young and Shelly Young, co-authors of the best seller, “The PH Miracle for Weight Loss” will be guests on KHTS AM-1220 from the new KHTS location at the Westfield Valencia Town Center.  They will also be available for a special two-day book signing event.

Escapee from Pitchess Detention Center

At approximately 7:00am Thursday, October 20, there was an escape from the Pitchess Detention Center in Castaic.
The Sheriff’s station describes the escapee as being a male Hispanic, 5’10”, and non-violent.  Keep your doors and windows locked and report any suspicious activity.

Antonovich Calls For Study On Food Preparation Laws

To address discrepancies in the County’s food preparation practices and the Health Department’s ordinances protecting the public, Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich has introduced a motion for consideration at next week’s Board meeting, calling for the Director of Public Health to convene meetings with restaurant groups. Last July, the Orange County Health Agency worked with Vietnamese restaurant owners to resolve issues related to some food items that may be safely stored at room temperature for longer periods than inspectors had allowed.
