Listening Session Set for State’s Goods Movement Action Plan

State Officials will hold a “listening session” on Saturday, Oct. 29, in Santa Clarita at which the public will be invited to comment on a “Goods Movement Action Plan” that prioritizes transportation and infrastructure projects. State Officials from the Business, Transportation and Housing Agency will host a “listening session” on Saturday, Oct. 29, 10 -12 Noon, at the Santa Clarita City Hall Council Chambers, 23920 Valencia Boulevard.

City to Recognize Love Ride Founder Oliver Shokouh

The Santa Clarita City Council will present a proclamation to Love Ride founder Oliver Shokouh in recognition of the event’s numerous contributions to the Santa Clarita Valley, the Muscular Dystrophy Association and to scores of other notable charities.

The proclamation will be read in Council Chambers at City Hall at 23920 Valencia Boulevard on Tuesday, October 25 at 6:00pm. It will be a photo opportunity.

The City of Santa Clarita is proud to present the first annual Oak Tree Day on November 5, 2005 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Canyon Country Park. The event is free and open to the public. Canyon Country Park is located at 17615 West Soledad Canyon Road. The oak tree is the official tree of the City of Santa Clarita. The Los Angeles King lost a hard fought game tonight to the Calgary Flames 3-2. With multiple power plays on either side, both teams had several chances to secure the lead but the Kings couldn’t put it away. Tonight’s bitter loss will stay with the Kings as they play again Tuesday the 25^th of October hoping to revert back to their winning streak by beating the Anaheim Mighty Ducks.
