    Three Runner Bills Signed By Governor

    Sacramento - Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger signed three pieces of legislation authored by Assemblywoman Sharon Runner (R-Lancaster).  AB 361 and AB 1517 fight identity theft by strengthening accountability for the practices of notaries and ensuring that convicted criminals cannot access medical information.  AB 646 prohibits the body piercing of minors without parental consent.

    Teacher Named One of County’s Best!

    Rio Norte Junior High School teacher Catherine Nicholas is one of 13 educators named as this year’s Los Angeles County Teachers of the Year. The announcement was made Friday at a ceremony by Darline P. Robles, the Los Angeles County Superintendent of Schools.
