    Lane Closures for I-5 Carpool Lane Construction, Sept. 29 – Oct. 1

    The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will close the following lanes, ramps and connectors of the Golden State Freeway (I-5) as part of a $41.6-million project to construct High Occupancy Vehicle, (HOV), or carpool lanes, on northbound and southbound I-5 from State Route 118 to State Route 14:
     
    DAILY -- Thursday, September 29 and Friday, September 30:
     
    ·     5 a.m. to 2 p.m. – One lane of northbound I-5 from State Route 210 to State Route 14

    Bouquet Canyon Road Lane Closures - Wednesday, 28th 9am-9pm

    Bouquet Canyon Road will have two of its three southbound lanes closed on Wednesday, September 28 between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m.
     
    The City is currently widening the Bouquet Canyon bridge across the Santa Clara River on Bouquet Canyon Road, between Newhall Ranch Road and Valencia Boulevard.  This $5 million bridge widening project has thus far resulted in few lane closures, however on September 28, Southern California Edison will be undergrounding utility lines and the City will need to close two lanes southbound on Bouquet.

    An anti-war rally near Westfield Valencia Town Center was disrupted this weekend when security guards prevented protestors from parking in the mall's lot.

    Performances by Drop Zone, Catch 22, Suburban Legend, and Bad Attitude hope to make a substantial contribution to the great efforts of the Red Cross.  Suggested donation upon admission is $10.00

    Providence Holy Cross Medical Center has been named as a 2005 Health Net " Honor Roll Hospital".  This top honor was achieved, along with Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center, because of participation in the Leapfrog and CHART Quality Programs. Commitment to Quality Improvement at Holy Cross is recognized by the Health Net Organization.
     
    All Health Net acute patient care admissions in the Santa Clarita Valley are being sent to Holy Cross.
