Wall Cracks Bring Concern

Businesses near the cross-valley connector worry foundation problems may lead to their stores being condemned. 

Employees at several businesses on the west side of the cross-valley connector have discovered cracks in their buildings' walls or foundations, & some are worried their firms may have to relocate.

State Budgets Good News for SCV

The $117 billion budget passed Thursday by the state Legislature brings generally good news to Santa Clarita, but Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has the power to make changes before he signs it next week, according to state Senator George Runner.

Highway 138 Emergency Road Repair, July 8th

Near Pearblossom -- The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will close westbound Highway 138 on Friday, July 8 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., between Longview Road and 121st Street East near Pearblossom – for emergency storm-related road repairs.       A flagger will be on site to assist motorists and direct traffic.

      Caltrans thanks the motoring public for their patience during these emergency roadway repairs.

Dodgers Lose to Rockies 8-5

The Los Angeles Dodgers lost their final game to the Colorado Rockies 8-5.  The Dodgers led the Rockies 5-0 into the fifth inning where things then started to fall apart for the Dodgers.  The final score ended in another Dodgers loss.  Tune in tomorrow at 4:30pm for more Dodgers action from Houston.
