Crash on I-5 Claims Two Lives

Four vehicles piled together at about 7:20 p.m. Sunday, bringing an adult male and a 3-year-old boy to Henry May Hospital, where they were pronounced dead....

Another adult female and child were in critical condition following the crash. 


Only one lane was open after the wreck on the I-5, which occured on the northbound side near Magic Mountain Parkway.

Antonovich Pushes to Evict Molester

David Wood keeps to himself.  The 40-year-old is a tall anomaly in Orchard Arms; others who inhabit apartments in the government-funded complex for the disabled and senior citizens call him “the young guy.”  Wood’s apartment overlooks Pinecrest Elementary School just across the street. County Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich intends to force him out.  Wood is a convicted child molester. . .

Free E-Waste and Household Hazardous Waste Roundup Coming To Santa Clarita!

Santa Clarita residents will be able to dispose of their old electronic waste such as VCRs, stereos, fax machines, computer keyboards and cellular telephones along with their household hazardous waste such as paint, paint remover, used motor oil, pesticides, aerosol cleaning products, lighter fluid, and expired prescription drugs at the free Household Hazardous Waste and E-Waste Roundup at College of the Canyons.

In the game heard live on KHTS, the Dodgers defeated the Padres 8-3 Saturday night.  Catch the next Dodgers game on AM 1220 Sunday as they take on the Padres again.  Pre-game starts at 12:30pm with the game starting at 1:10pm.

Water District About-Face Upsets Allies

The district that declared Santa Clarita Valley water supplies more limited than previously stated — upsetting developers, the city and school officials — reversed itself this week, aligning with other water districts on the issue.
    Before the Newhall County Water District’s 3-2 vote Thursday night, the board was already drawing criticism from its former allies.

5.1 Quake Felt In The SCV

On Saturday at 12:18 PM, a magnitude 5.1 earthquake occured in the Bakersfield area. The quake was centered 13.1 miles N.W. of Wheeler Ridge and  felt in Santa Clarita and the Antelope Valley. There are no reports of damage at this time.

Dodgers Beat Padres 4-0

The Los Angeles Dodger defeated the San Diego Padres 4-0 tonight on KHTS.
