    In a game heard live on AM 1220 KHTS, the Hart Indians defeated the Jordan Panthers 72-63. Hart advances to the Semi Finals of the CIF-SS,  Division 1-AA playoffs next Tuesday.

    Newhall Drug Bust Successful

    Following a two-month investigation, the Santa Clarita Narcotics Crew of the Sheriff's Department seized over $50,000 worth of Narcotics....

    Not only was crystal methamphetamine found, but also pure powdered and rock cocaine as well as a pistol with bullets was seized.


    Alfredo Hernandez was arrested, with bail set at $80,000.

    The City of Santa Clarita saw a whopping 9% increase in local sales tax during the second quarter of 2004 over the previous year, making Santa Clarita one of Los Angeles County's economically strongest cities...

    "The sales tax, by far, continues to be our single largest resource of revenue. When people shop in the City their sales tax dollars stay right here at home.", explains Darren Hernandez, City Treasurer.

    Rescue Calls Flood Teams

    Tuesday Night High School Basketball

    In a game heard live on AM 1220 KHTS, Hart beat Rancho Verde 63-56.  The Indians advance to the Quarter-finals of the CIF Division 1-AA Playoffs on Friday night.  In other high school basketball action, Valencia lost to Lakewood 72-68.  Tune in to KHTS on Friday night at 7:15 for the Quarter-finals pregame show.

    The National Weather Service forecasts more rain today, heavy at times, with isolated thunderstorms....

    Santa Clarita, according to the Los Angeles County Department of Public Works, has received 36.32 inches from October 15th through this morning (Feb. 22), nearly double the normal, 18.19 inches, in the same period, and we still expect more.
