Another Gang-Related Shooting In Canyon Country
Juvenile victim expected to recover from gunshot wounds.
Detectives from the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff Station's COBRA Team are investigating the shooting of 17-year old victim at a mobile home park in the 18000 block of Soledad Canyon Road Saturday night.
Deputies responding to the call contained the area and searched for the suspects, but no arrests were made. The suspects were described as two male Hispanics, 15-20 years of age with bald or shaved heads, 6’, 200 lbs. They are reported to have fled the area in a gray, four-door 1989 Honda Civic.
The victim, who was shot in the upper torso, was transported to the hospital. His injuries were not life-threatening. The shooting appears to be gang-related.
